Will a front reciever hitch fit on a sport cummins? I am needing to build a weight rack and was thinking this is a good way. The only ? i have is dis anyboby do this and does it clear the front bumper? I noticed the bumper hangs lower.

I have seen it done on a Megacab couple years back at ts. but not on a 2nd gen. I would meassure in between, the frame rail and thin look at a receiver web site, and see if you couldnt match one, up. It should give you what kind of drop they have also.

Or do like I did... Remove the front bumper, radiator and intercooler. Then cut that flimsy a** front crossmember out and reweld a new one in made out of 1/4" wall 4x4 box steel. Then weld on two hitch recievers about 24" apart. You now have something that I'm positive will hold 2k lbs... Depending on your welding ability that is Wink

I put it all back in when I finished building it, duh! LOL it's just alot easier to work on without that stuff in the way, and it's all easy to take out anyway. Everything fits like stock. Come to the Union Fair truckpull Friday night and I'll show you Smiley

get a plow mount and fab something from there i have seen that plus your weights will hang lower to the ground as well. then you wont have to mess with your bumper at all
