Pulled in the 8500lb Pro Street Diesel class. There was 5 trucks in it including me and 3 of them were Ballies Cummins and the other was an OBS Stroker that was just chipped and had no chance and just hooked for the fun of it.
I was around 60 feet back from the Cummins as they all pulled in the 305-310foot range.
My truck weighed in at 7550 lbs so I was still 950 lbs lighter then all the Cummins. As u can see in the video the truck was really slow to spool off the line. I usually take off in 2nd gear and then lock the convertor but from the looks of it I am going to have to drop to 1st to start out just to get the turbos to spool with the changes we made. The turbos never lit until about the 50ft mark last night.
Going to try and pickup some more weight this week and see how it does next weekend. I am also thinking about re-gearing but I am going to make one change at a time and start with the weight.
Even though I was way back from the Cummins I was very pleased overall for the first time out this year since it actually did not break.
After the pulls we went to McDonalds to eat. It turned into a big DPP get together in the parking lot. We all got to talking and figured out I probably had a first in the pulling world last night. The sled is Cummins powered so not only was I pushing a Cummins on the front of my Stroke but I was pulling one behind it at the same time.
